Git Good Practice

• Always comment your commits.

  • A single line is sufficient most of the time.

  • If you think more info on the “why” is needed, feel free do so after the first line.

  • The general rule is to either reference a ticket or another commit.

• Commit related changes in one go.

  • Avoid unnecessary file-per-file or hourly commits.
